29 hours without electricity

Dear bloggers, readers, followers!

I just want to apologize that I didn’t post my weekly posts “Sunday Photo Hunting” and “From ordinary to artistic”, but since yesterday 4pm we were without electricity. 😐
I will post both soon and participate in the challenges I used to.

I need to admit I felt a little frustrated after I woke up today, but this feeling disappeared with the rising sun and my motivation to turn the next few hours without the power to something useful.
Yesterday I cooked the dinner at the candle light and today I fried all the fish filets because it got melted and I wasn’t sure when the power will come back. Well we can enjoy it for the next three days 😄.

Sitting on the stairs, getting some sun I decided to create something nice, so I took the three old pots I found in our backyard and here is the result of playing with the acrylic colours.

I gifted all three pots to our landlord for his flowers ☺ and he liked them a lot.

My husband practiced some chess since he couldn’t work (he is an online English teacher) and after I finished painting the pots, he asked me to teach him how to paint.
I gave him one of my older drawings and told him to start with it.

I think this is coming along very nicely. He didn’t enjoy it for a long time though because it started to get late and the darkness fell again on our house and yard.
He maybe will finish it tomorrow or by the next power outage. ☺
I think he will spend his spare time practicing some more chess instead.

Blessed night/morning!

The painting above titled LOVE is one of my favorit tempera paintings from my childhood. Our art teacher was curious how can a teenager express his feelings and as a teenager I was able to express Love very creatively.

The Love Plant

The Love Plant

This is the next of my childhood paintings The Love Plant. It is an abstract tempera painting and my art teacher at the primary school liked it a lot.

This stone I found at the Port Royal Beach while taking a walk with my husband. It wast last year in May.

New Year – New Challenges

My dear friends, bloggers, readers

last year I entered a lot of photo and some writing challenges and I enjoyed each one. Some themes were really challenging, other ones more relaxing and funny.
For a good while I was playing in my mind with an idea to create an “own” challenge or challenges.
This afternoon I came finally up with the challenges and I would love to introduce them to all of you.

1) Weekly Photo Challenge – From ordinary to artistic
2) Weekly Photo Challenge – From Above
3) Monthly Drawing/Painting Challenge – Feelings (it doesn’t matter if you’re good at painting or drawing or not, just express yourself. And if you feel like expressing with a photo, go right ahead)

All challenges will have weekly/monthly  prompts and here are the common rules:

1. Create a new post with the title of the challenge you would love to participate in
2. Add photos, drawings, paintings and feel free to add also a few words if you feel so
3. Paste the link of your post to the comments so the other bloggers can find your link, visit your blog, leave comments, interact by any way
4. If you wish to get notifications about new prompts don’t forget to follow me ☺

We are surrounded by a lot of ordinary things we maybe think is not worth mentioning. But even such ordinary things can be beautiful and even extraordinary. Take a photo or pick one from your archive that responds to the prompt and transform it to an artistic piece.
Our first theme will be Mug. Any kind of mug, even with a broken handle. Use your editing tools and create a photo that will telling us a story. Change the life of one ordinary mug to a Famous Mug.
Post the transformed photo and add the original.
We will start the next Monday.

Upcoming themes:
Mug
Glasses
Chair
Pen

2) Weekly Photo Challenge – From Above

In this challenge let us play a game about feeling ourselves like birds or giants.
We will look at the world and life around us from above, from a bird perspective. We will discover amazing views and angles and feel like we were flying.
Show us your world from above!
We will start this challenge next Wednesday.

Upcoming themes:
